The Project
Three load-bearing walls removed, the family room ceiling raised 3'4", and 2,200 sq ft of White Oak laid in one uninterrupted run.
The clients purchased a 2000s colonial with good bones but a layout frozen in time — formal dining room, closed kitchen, low ceilings in the family room. Their brief was simple: make it feel like the home they had always imagined.
We removed three walls on the first floor, raised the family room ceiling to match the main level, and completely rebuilt the kitchen as the anchor of the open plan. Every finish was selected as part of a unified material palette — no room feels disconnected from the next.
At 2,200 square feet across the first floor, this was our most comprehensive single-floor project of 2024. Final delivery at week 16.
