Your bathroom: what we quote

Pick the one closest to what you have in mind. These are the ranges we quote for real jobs around Princeton and Bucks County.

A range, not a quote. Your price is in a written scope after we see the space; layout, what’s behind the walls and your selections move it.

What moves the number

What pushes a bathroom up or down

Moving the toilet or shower drain

Leaving the toilet and the shower drain where they are keeps the plumbing simple. Moving them means opening the floor, rerouting drain lines and sometimes reframing.

A curbless or walk-in shower

A shower with no curb needs the floor recessed or sloped so the water still runs to the drain. That’s extra framing and waterproofing, and more tile time.

Tile choice and amount

Tile to the ceiling costs more than tile to the shower head. Large-format porcelain, natural stone and small mosaics each take a different amount of time to set, and the tile itself ranges a lot.

The vanity

A stock vanity and one built to fit the wall are very different numbers, and so are the top, the sinks and the faucets that go with it.

Heated floors

An electric heating mat goes under the tile, with its own thermostat and usually its own circuit.

Ventilation

A fan that vents outside and is sized for the room can mean a new duct run through a wall or the roof.

Old-house surprises

Older houses hide things: cast-iron drains, old wiring, a rotted subfloor around the toilet. We can’t price what we can’t see. If we find something once the floor or walls are open, you get a written change order with the price before that work starts.

FAQ

Bathroom cost questions

01How much does a bathroom remodel cost near Princeton, NJ?

What we quote for bathrooms: a refresh $10,586 to $22,810, a guest or hall bath $22,810 to $33,649, and a primary bath $33,649 to $48,906. Your exact number comes in a written scope after our visit, before you sign anything.

02Why do quotes vary so much?

Because they usually aren’t pricing the same job. One quote includes the waterproofing, the permit, a fan vented outside and a vanity you’d actually pick. Another leaves those out, or covers them with allowances that are too low. Put the scopes side by side: what’s included, what isn’t, the materials and the allowances. Ours spells all of that out before you sign, and anything that changes later comes as a written change order with the price.

03Is the price in the contract the final price?

It’s the price for the written scope. If you change something, or we open the floor and find a problem, you get a written change order with the price, and that work starts only after you sign it.

04How do I get a number for my bathroom?

Call (609) 874-0990 or send us the form. We talk about the project, timeline and budget, then come see the house. You get a written scope after the visit, and you owe nothing until you sign a contract.
