None of these is a quote for your kitchen. Your number comes in a written scope after we see the house, and it lists what’s included, what isn’t, the materials, the allowances and the price.

What we quote for a kitchen like yours

Step 2 of 6

Your kitchen: what we quote

Pick the one closest to what you have in mind. These are the ranges we quote for real jobs around Princeton and Bucks County.

A range, not a quote. Your price is in a written scope after we see the space; layout, what’s behind the walls and your selections move it.

What moves the number

What pushes a kitchen up or down

Five kitchen projects, $55,133.75 between the lowest and the highest. Here’s where that kind of gap comes from.

Moving plumbing, gas or walls

Keeping the sink, range and walls where they are is the cheaper path. Moving a sink or a gas line means new pipe runs. Taking out a wall can mean a beam, an engineer’s drawing and a permit.

The cabinet line

Cabinets are a big line in the budget. Stock, semi-custom and custom lines are priced very differently for the same layout.

Countertops

Quartz, granite, marble and quartzite vary by the slab, by how many slabs the layout needs, and by the edges and cut-outs.

Appliances

A standard package and a pro-style range with panel-ready refrigeration are very different numbers. Bigger appliances can also need a new gas line, a new circuit or new venting.

Structural work and permits

Opening a wall, adding a beam or changing a window opening needs a permit and inspections, and sometimes an engineer. That’s time and money before a single cabinet goes in.

What’s behind the walls

Older houses hide things: old wiring, old pipes, rot, floors that aren’t level. We can’t price what we can’t see. If we find something once a wall is open, you get a written change order with the price before that work starts.

Allowances

If you haven’t picked something yet, the scope carries an allowance for it: a set amount. Pick something that costs more and the difference comes to you as a written change order. Nothing is added to your bill without your written approval.

FAQ

Kitchen cost questions

01Why do quotes vary so much?

Because they usually aren’t pricing the same job. One quote includes the electrical work, the permit and a cabinet line you’d actually pick. Another leaves those out, or covers them with allowances that are too low. Put the scopes side by side: what’s included, what isn’t, the materials and the allowances. Ours spells all of that out before you sign, and anything that changes later comes as a written change order with the price.

02Is the price in the contract the final price?

It’s the price for the written scope. If you change something, or we open a wall and find a problem, you get a written change order with the price, and that work starts only after you sign it.

03How long does a kitchen remodel take?

It depends on the scope and on lead times for cabinets and countertops, which are usually the longest wait. For a wider view, Houzz’s 2026 survey of more than 20,000 U.S. homeowners found kitchen remodels averaged 5.8 months of construction. Your written scope includes the schedule before you sign, so you know the plan up front.

04How do I get a number for my kitchen?

Call (609) 874-0990 or send us the form. We talk about the project, timeline and budget, then come see the house. You get a written scope after the visit, and you owe nothing until you sign a contract.
